New AEDs for Youth Program helps protect kids: provides discounts of 20-60% for schools and youth sports organizations to purchase AEDs in all 50 states
In September of 2024, Damar sat down with Good Morning American to share the news of the new NFL Smart Heart Sports Coalition program to provide discounted AEDs to schools and youth sports groups - all across the nation.
Formed after Damar experienced cardiac arrest, the Coalition has united partners like the American Heart Association and others to create change, pass legislation and focus on protecting kids. The new AEDs for Youth program allows schools and youth sports organizations in all 50 states to purchase AEDs at discounts of 20-60% off.
As Damar shared, “I’m very grateful to the NFL for the partnership that has led to this moment. What I experienced was tough, but I’m proud it has inspired so many people to make lasting change. State by state, and school by school, the new AEDs for Youth program will help provide access to the same care I received - because every kid deserves a chance.”
